I was feeling a little bit dizzy this morning during service cos I really didn’t sleep much last night. I mean, it’s not as if I went clubbing or something, I just couldn’t sleep. Maybe it was some form of insomnia that was worrying me.
But then, something suddenly happened that drove the sleep out of my eyes instantly. Chichi walked in.
Do you know that feeling when your babe steps out looking so good that you suddenly forget what the pastor just said? That was me today in church, no lie. Lagos sun was doing its usual wahala, but my girl, Chichi, was just radiating fine-girl energy like she owned the whole service.
From Genesis to Revelation
From the moment she walked in, I swear the whole place lit up. She was rocking this Ankara gown that hugged her just right. The fabric was a rich mix of black and golden yellow, the kind that dances with light when you move. And the tailor definitely deserves national recognition, because the blend and fitting glowed with perfection.
Chichi tied her gele like a queen who already knows her crown is secured. It wasn’t too loud, just the right size with layers that framed her beautiful face. Her makeup was subtle but stunning, just the way I like it. Soft nude lips, a touch of shimmer on her eyelids, and those lashes that fluttered as if they were whispering sweet nothings. What of her jewelry? They were complimentary gold hoops with a simple necklace that rested perfectly on her bosom.
Honestly, it was a sight to die for, and when she smiled at me across the pew, I almost forgot I was in church. My heart literally missed a beat. God help me! This girl wanna ‘kee’ somebody.
As if that wasn’t enough, the way her perfume lingered when she passed by! Omo! I couldn’t even focus on the sermon anymore. I just kept thinking of what I was going to do after the service was over.
Finally Going Home
We’ve been together for a little over a year now, and somehow, the romance keeps getting hotter. Lagos life can be stressful, but when I’m with Chichi, it’s like peace just enters my soul. Today reminded me again why I fell for her: she’s beauty, grace, and gist all rolled into one.
After service, a few people came to greet us and compliment her outfit. One aunty even said, “Ah, your wife fine o!” I just smiled sheepishly and tried to stay calm. I couldn’t wait to get home so that I could practicalize some of things going on in my mind.
At this rate, I might just end up proposing marriage you know.
If you’re looking for church outfit inspiration or Ankara style ideas, just take a cue from my babe. She didn’t just wear Ankara; she owned it. Her confidence, her smile, her poise. Everything was just on point.
So yeah, that’s how my Sunday went. Church was good, the sermon was deep, but Chichi’s Ankara stole the show.
I know you’re wondering what happened at home after service. That gist is for close friends only.
